Sagittarius lies in the direction of the center of our Milky Way galaxy. When you look at Sagittarius, you are looking toward the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A*, which has a mass of about 4 million suns. The constellation contains more Messier objects (star clusters and nebulae) than any other, making it a favorite target for amateur astronomers. The "Teapot" asterism within Sagittarius is one of the easiest star patterns to spot.
